Whale

WHALES LIVE IN THE OCEAN. WHALES ARE THE LARGEST LIVING ANIMALS ON EARTH. THEY HAVE A LARGE LAYER OF BLUBBER TO WARM THEM UP UNDERWATER.

ECHOLOCATION ALLOWS WHALES TO FIND THEIR WAY AROUND THE OCEAN. THEY KNOW WHEN THERE IS SOMETHING IN FRONT OF THEM IF THE SOUND WAVES BOUNCE BACK TO THEM, GIVING THE WHALE INFORMATION ABOUT THE OBJECT.

WHALES COMMUNICATE TO ONE ANOTHER BY BREACHING, TAIL SLAPPING, CHARGING TOWARDS ONE ANOTHER AND BY CREATING SOUNDS TO LET THEM KNOW WHERE FOOD IS OR IF DANGER IS NEARBY.

BALEEN WHALES HAVE THIN, DENSE BRISTLES IN THEIR MOUTH WHICH STOP SMALL PREY FROM ESCAPING WHILE STILL ALLOWING WATER TO PASS IN AND OUT.
