Leopard
Leopards are a member of the cat family. Leopards can reach a speed of 58 km/h. Leopards live for 12 - 17 years. Leopards are a solitary animal which means they like to be alone. Baby leopards are called cubs.
There are lots of different types of leopards such as clouded leopards, melanistic leopards, snow leopards, African leopards, Indian leopards, Persian leopards, amur leopards, javan leopards, etc...

Leopards have a beautiful spotted coat. The spots are called rosettes, they help the leopard to camouflage. The colour of the leopards fur also helps. Leopards range in colour from a pale yellow (white) to a deep gold. Melanistic leopards are black and often referred to as black panthers. A white leopard usually lives in the snow and is called a snow leopard.

Leopards catch their prey by quietly finding its prey, watch it until the moment to start moving is right (stalking), then slowly sneak up behind it and then when its close it will start going faster and bite its neck or legs. After the leopard will drag its catch up a tree so no other animals like hyenas will get it.
