Some sharks are very dangerous but other are harmless and won't even go near you. Sharks can detect electrical impulses, this includes other animals heartbeats. The largest shark to ever live was the megalodon, which is now extinct.

The most dangerous sharks are the great white, hammerhead, tiger shark, mako shark and bull shark. There is only around 100 shark attacks and only 10 of them ever result in death.
