Camels live in the desert. They have 1 or more humps on the back. They can live for up to 40 - 50 years.  Camels don't chew their food before swallowing, it goes straight to their stomach. Camels have long eyelids because in the dessert it helps to keep sand out of their eyes. They also have 3 eyelids.

 

Lots of people think they store water in their humps but camels actually store fat in them. They use this for energy when other food sources aren't available. Lots of people thought they stored water
