Penguin
Penguins are flightless birds. They can live for 6 - 20 years. They can grow as high as 30cm - 1.3m And they can grow as wide as 43cm - 1.2m. Penguins can swim in the water. Penguins sneeze to get rid of seawater while catching fish.
To stay warm penguins like to huddle together, taking turns of being in the middle. Large groups of penguins are called colonies or rookeries. When a group of penguins is in the water they are called a raft. A rookery can have 5 - 10 thousand penguins.
Penguins are black and white for camouflage. From above their backs blend into the dark water and their white bellies are hidden against the light coming down from the surface when underwater and on land, their white camouflages into the snow and ice.
