Tortoise

Tortoises have a large, bumpy shell to protect them from predators. Tortoises live on land. They can live for a very long amount of time. Their average lifespan is 80 - 150 years but the longest living tortoise was 326 years old. Tortoises are herbivores which means they only eat plants and fruit.

Soon after tortoises have been born the go straight to their mothers burrow. Their mother will protect them for only 80 days after they will have to survive on their own.

Their feet are short and sturdy with bent legs. Tortoises can't go very fast because of their small legs, so if there is a danger they tuck themselves into a ball.
