Lions are the second biggest species of cat in the world. Lions are very fast animals, reaching a speed of 81 km/h. They are the second fastest animal in the world. A group of lions is called a pride. There is often 10 - 30 lions in a pride. Lions live for 12 - 25 years.

The lioness will do all the hunting and they are the ones to feed the pride. while they go out hunting the males while watch over their territory to keep away any unwanted guests. They do all of their hunting from dusk until dawn.
