Walrus

Walruses spend half their lives in the water and the other half out of the water. Walruses have a thick layer of blubber, this keeps them warm in the icy water.

Walruses use the tusks, which are actually long teeth, to pull themselves up out of the water. Their tusks never stop growing. Humans now hunt walruses for their blubber.

Walruses have about 150 whiskers. Their whiskers are very sensitive and they use them to find food. Walruses can dive down 260 ft into the water and can hold their breath for 30 minutes.
