Cats

Cats are often kept as house pets. They can live for 2 - 16 years. Cats conserve energy by sleeping 13 - 14 hours of the day. A group of cats is called a clowder. Cats can live for about 12 - 15 years.

A cats bodies and teeth have adapted so they can hunt mice and rats easier. Their bodies are very flexible and their teeth are very sharp. They also have very sharp claws to scratch things.

Cats clean themselves by licking themselves. When they need to clean their face they lick their paws and rub them over the places that its tongue can't reach. If they lick themselves too much the hair builds up in their throat and creates a hairball, the cat will eventually choke this up and spit it out.
