Clownfish live in the ocean and spend most of their lives in sea anemones.  All clownfish are born as males.

 

When the dominant female of a group dies the largest male will turn itself into a female, this change cannot be reversed back. Clownfish can grow up to 10 - 18 cm.

 

Clownfish live in the sea anemones because if another fish comes in they will get stung by the tentacles but clownfish are immune to this.
