Newts have a special ability to regenerate limbs, eyes and spinal cords. Newts are semiaquatic, they can live in or out of the water. Sometimes they spend their whole life underwater. Newts are now threatened by habitat loss and pollution. Baby newts are called tadpoles and live in the water.
